Introducing Amber Kitavi, LPC-Associate Supervised by Kendra Bennet, LPC-S
Welcome! I’m Amber Kitavi, a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, under the supervision of Kendra Bennett, LPC-Supervisor. I hold a BA in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from the University of Texas at Tyler.
My counseling approach is grounded in the belief that the expertise of your life resides within you. I integrate person-centered counseling, feminist and social justice theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic bodywork to support your journey.
I see clients ages 10 and up, and I am LGBTQIA+, secular, and sex worker friendly. My experience includes specialized training in trauma and play therapy, with an internship at the East Texas Crisis Center and professional work at the Women's Center of East Texas, where I supported survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their mental health goals and believe in the potential for growth and healing within everyone. I am here to provide compassionate and tailored counseling to guide you towards a brighter, more resilient future.
